Dance Terms and Conditions

Requirements for participation

● Registration for the Games of the International Pythian Committee is possible only by submitting a separate online application. Applications from the Qualifying rounds by country are not considered. It is required to fill out a separate form through this project website.

● The participant agrees to the application for participation in the Games and the terms of its holding.

● Unfilled applications are not accepted.

● Each participant/group must send to the application an official invitation from the International Pythian Committee in English, sent to the Organizing Committee of the country of the Qualifying Round.

● In the application, each participant/group must decide which category they want to participate in.

● The number of participants in the group is unlimited.

Categories

Solo performers, duets and groups can compete in the following dance categories

● Classic: Classic/Neoclassical dance: public and private institutions

● Modern: Modern dance: public and private institutions

● Folk: Folk dance: public and private institutions

● Pop: Pop, jazz and step: public and private institutions

● Street: Hip-hop, jazz funk, house, break dance, locking, popping, etc.: public and private institutions

● Stage Ballroom dance: public and private institutions

● Sport Ballroom dance: public and private institutions

● Acrobatic dance: public and private institutions

● Cheerleading: public and private institutions

● Show Dance Show: public and private institutions

Age groups

(the maximum age of the dancers of the group is 35 years)

Group 1:

from 7 to 12 years old

Group 2:

from 13 to 15 years old

Group 3:

from 16 to 18 years old

Group 4:

from 19 to 35 years old

Special rules

The competition for public and private schools will start on November 24, 2026.

● All participants are required to have their own health insurance. The organizers are not responsible for accidents, thefts, etc. that occurred during the Games on the territory or outside it.

● The final Gala concert will feature participants who have worked on the final numbers with the production staff responsible for the countries for at least 2 months

Number of performances and duration

● During the competition, solo performers, duets and collectives will perform in accordance with the order set out in the schedule, which will be published no later than 30 days before the start of the Games.

● The schedule includes sufficient preparation time for each participant.

For soloists

●1 performance in the Classical dance category/Neoclassical dance (maximum 4 minutes for each)

● 1 performance in the dance category "Modern Dance" (maximum 4 minutes)

● 1 performance in the dance category "Folk Dance" (maximum 4 minutes)

● 1 performance in the category pop, jazz, step dance (maximum 4 minutes)

● Special rules for solo performances Performers in the Classical Dance category: solo performers are not allowed to perform in a duet or Pas de deux!

For duets

● 1 pas de deux from the classical repertoire (maximum duration 11 minutes)

● 1 performance in the Modern Dance category (5 minutes)

● Duets and groups can participate in only 1 category: modern dance, pop-jazz dance or traditional folk dance.

* A duo is not allowed to perform with their group as solo performers.

For groups

● 1 performance in one dance category (maximum 5 minutes)

● Groups can participate in several dance styles.

● Participation in the additional category is 50% of the cost of the competition fee

● Fees will not be refunded to registered participants who did not attend the Games

● Transportation costs within the city of the Games or transfers from/to the airport or train station are not included in the participation fees

● Transfer fees are included in the accommodation and food packages provided by the operators and co-organizers of the Games

● Accommodation of all participants at the Two Season Hotel (Sheikh Zayed Rd – Al Sufouh – Dubai Internet City) is a prerequisite

● The cost of 4 nights is calculated by the International Pythian Committee and is the same for all participants and their accompanying persons

The jury

● All performances will be evaluated by a jury consisting of prominent personalities in the world of dance, media and culture.

● They will evaluate performances based on such parameters as "technical skills", "artistry" and "expressiveness".

● The jury will select the best performances for the final Gala and may disqualify performances that do not comply with the rules. Their decision is final.

● The full list of the jury will be published 60 days before the start of the Games.

Awarding

● Participants will receive gold, silver and bronze medals, cups, diplomas, cash prizes and memorable gifts.

● The most talented artists will be invited to major ballet schools and institutes in Europe and around the world.

The price includes

● Accommodation at the Two Season Hotel (****). Accommodation in 2-6 bed rooms. *For rooms with more than 3 people, two-room Suites of the "Grand" category are provided

● All participants wishing to stay in a single room must pay extra for a single room.

● Breakfast and dinner

● Organized city sightseeing tour

● Participants must pay for the use of a mini-bar and a telephone, the International Pythian Committee is not responsible for additional costs.

● Each additional day at the hotel is charged extra (122 USD).

The accommodation fee is paid in three installments upon application. Each participating school must transfer the hotel fee as a total amount for all school members/parents or teachers. Individual money transfers are not accepted Payments must be made to the accounts of the co–organizers in the partner countries of the International Pythian Committee or directly to the UAE Pythian Committee. To pay the hotel fees, each participant/group will receive an invoice with an individual room. This number must be indicated on each payment, otherwise it will be impossible to assign the payment to the participant/group. Accommodation expenses will not be refunded to registered participants who did not attend the Games.
